Hvad vil det sige at være en god muslimsk hustru? En ny bog giver de ubehagelige svar. Læs Lone Nørregaards anmeldelse fra Jyllandsposten her

Kulturkapellet

Læs mere af Mie Paulsgaards anmeldelse her

By Zoe "Shocking Story”

My mum told me to read this book as we have been to egypt lots of times, and i often find people i like. I was so shocked!! I knew that they could be like that, but what did she do to deserve that? I am always suspiceous whenever i go now, and i inspire Jacky for what she did and all the determination she had to get out!

By Iris Gioia (London)"Harrowing"

Jacky's harrowing escape from an abusive husband reads like a brilliant novel but what is terrifying is that the story is true, a young woman trapped in Egypt who spends 12 months saving $50 in secret, who acquires a passport from a sympathetic ambassador and finally makes a dash across the desert to Israel with her 2 young daugters - only to have the Imam of Cairo to put a Fatwa on her. This story of human courage is what they all a page turner and I for one could not put it down.

By triplesss "ky girl" (Virginia)"Horrifying"

This book is a quick read but it is entirely horrifying. I am appalled that women so often seem to get short shrift, whatever the code of ethics society approves--in the name of whatever God. I guess I'd better not say more because this book made me angry.

By Lisa:

This was one of the most eye opening, amazing books I have ever read. So much so, I read it twice. A real eye opener!
